Municipality of Makkah has recently signed a number of contracts pertaining to electronic applications, data systems and computer network. Dr Osama al-Bar, the Mayor of Makkah, said this development comes in line with the keenness of the municipality on implementing electronic services and introducing technology in all its services in addition to activation of the e-government and extending municipal services through the internet. He noted that the total cost of these contracts has exceeded SR 10 million.
