The bodies of three men, all of them with signs of torture, were hung in public view in the early hours of Tuesday in the city of Cuernavaca, the latest atrocities in Mexico's drug wars, dpa reported. The so-called "city of eternal spring," some 90 kilometres south of Mexico City, is the object of heavy fighting between drug gangs keen to control the distribution and sale of narcotics in central Mexico. Federal forces killed drug lord Arturo Beltran Leyva there last year. Two of the bodies were hung from an overhead road crossing opposite one of the city's main shopping centres, while the other was hung from a bridge over the Mexico-Acapulco highway. Police said messages had been found by the bodies, although their content was not made public. -- SPA
