based Al-Nadwa said Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas was very plain and frank when he made it clear that the call of US President Obama to start direct negotiations with Israel without attaining any progress at the indirect negotiators, will be meaningless. It was assumed that the indirect negotiations will pave the way for the direct negotiations through attaining tangible progress, said the daily, noting that indirect negotiations were meaningless as it did not prevent Israel from putting obstacles before the peace process notably its continuation in its settlement policy. The Palestinian President has the right to warn against missing the chance of bringing about peace as long as the settlement and judaization policy is going ahead, said the paper adding that a great attention should be given to the warning of the Palestinian President.
