Prince Faisal Ibn Khalid Ibn Abdulaziz, the Governor of Assir region, was briefed today on the project of water desalination station at Shaqiq during a meeting with governor of Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) Dr Fiheid Al-Shareef. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Al-Shareef said the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Ibn Abdul-Aziz have led to resolving problems of water in Assir province. He noted that the station produces for the time being about 160,000 square meters for meeting the problem of water shortages in Abha and the neighboring regions. The meeting was attended by a number of senior officials.
