Wall Street ended higher on Friday, concluding its best week in a year, as investors looked ahead to the start of the earnings season. The Dow Jones industrial average gained 58.73 points, or 0.58 percent, to 10,197.72. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index rose 7.68 points, or 0.72 percent, to 1,077.93. The Nasdaq Composite Index added 21.05 points, or 0.97 percent, to 2,196.45. U.S. light crude oil for August delivery rose 81 cents to $76.25 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. COMEX gold for August delivery gained $14.20 to $1,210.30 an ounce. For the holiday-shortened week, the three indexes rose more than 5 percent.
