The Bank of England (BoE) left interest rates unchanged at the historically low level of 0.5 per cent today, dpa quoted the centeral bank as saying. The rate has now been at its lowest-ever level since March, 2009, despite warnings from some members of the BoE's policy-making monetary policy committee that rising inflation could threaten the weak economic recovery. Inflation is Britain is currently at 3.4 per cent, well above the government's target of 2 per cent. -- SPA
