The rupture of a water pipe has left 60,000 Spaniards in the south of the country without water as temperatures reach nearly 40 degrees Celsius, dpa cited sources at the local water company as saying today. The accident affected four localities near the southern city of Seville. The 220-kilometre water pipe had just been moved further away from a high-speed rail line. The accident left residents without water for more than 24 hours. No injuries were reported. The water supply was expected to be restored by Friday afternoon.
