The paper noted that the Saudi-Canadian relations are steadily growing in all political, economic and educational domains. In the political domain King Abdullah has been concerned with the causes of the Arab and Muslim nation and subsequently issues of peace, the Arab-Israeli dispute as well as activation of the peace process in line with the international resolutions and that the Arab peace initiative will be a subject for elaborated discussions, said the paper adding that there is rapprochement in the views of the two countries in several issues like the importance of enhancing the pillars of security and stability in Iraq and prevention of proliferation of weapons of mass-destruction. As regards the economic domain, the volume of trade exchange between the Kingdom and Canada amounts to about $3 billion in favor of the Kingdom which exports to Canada petrochemicals and plastics. Saudi-Canadian cultural and educational relations are characterized by big strides under the great educational development witnessed by the Kingdom in the era of King Abdullah. More than 6000 Saudi students are studying at the Canadian universities, the daily noted. The visit of King Abdullah to Canada and his participation in the summit of G20 stand as an evidence for the capability of the Kingdom of gaining more friends for the support of the Arab and Muslim causes, said the paper adding that King Abdullah has earned a great respect for his inalienable stands vis-a-vis the causes of global peace and his significant role as regards resolving problems of the international economy. --MORE
