There is no need to stand in line to have your ID checked or your Passport stamped by the Passport Control officers as a speedy procedure for entering or exiting the country has been launched by the Department of Passport (GOP). An electronic card is introduced to make very easy and quick the procedure of entry and exit from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, using the latest technology and registration of biometric features. Busy travelers who want to use this service, will insert a special card in the electronic reader to open the front-rail of the gate. The system provides the requested instructions to complete the operation successfully (entering journey information, checking of ID through the provided biometric features. On completion of the basic information, the system will provide travelers with automatically printed receipts which include the information of arrival or departure. Entry and Exit registration of travelers from and to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are now operated at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam. The intended travelers are required to visit the Registration Center, Gate 2 at the King Khalid International Airport. Passport officers there will check ID and will enter biometric features (fingerprint and eye print) to the system. The E-Gate Card will be issued with pictures of the requested travelers.
