A study said that the next World Cup in 2014 will inject nearly $80 billion dollars into host Brazil's economy, according to AP. The joint study by the Getulio Vargas Foundation think tank and accounting giant Ernst & Young says that between 2010 and 2014 World Cup-linked investments in Brazil will total 142 billion reals ($79 billion). The study says that 113 billion reals ($62 billion) will be invested in the production of goods and services while 30 billion reals ($17 billion) will be invested in infrastructure. The study also says that 3.6 million new jobs will be created and 64 billion reals ($35 billion) of income will be generated during the period. The study was posted Thursday on Ernst & Young's website.
