Israeli warships opened fire on Palestinian fishing boats on Sunday in the north and south of Gaza Strip. "Israeli warships that were stationed on the coasts of Gaza Strip opened heavy fire towards Palestinian boats on the sea of Al-Sudaneya area, as well as the sea of Khan Younis area," Palestinian sources told KUNA. No casualties were reported, but Palestinians hurried to shore, the sources added, in fear for their lives. Several Palestinian boats were damaged, the sources also noted. The Gaza Strip is scene of military escalation of late, and three Palestinians were shot on Saturday in an Israeli artillery attack on the north of Gaza Strip.
