The final rehearsal for Swedish Crown Princess Victoria's wedding went off "without a hitch," one of the four officiating clergymen said today on the eve of the ceremony, dpa reported. "Now the rehearsals are over, things looks good," Dean Ake Bonnier of the Stockholm Cathedral told the German Press Agency dpa. The church has been closed over the past week for the final preparations ahead of Saturday's ceremony, including the placement of flower arrangements. The other officiating clergymen are Archbishop Anderes Wejryd, the king's chaplain, Lars-Goran Lonnemark, and Bishop Antje Jackelen from Lund. Victoria and her husband-to-be, Daniel Westling, have taken part in several rehearsals. The arrival of royals and relatives this week has allowed the 10 bridesmaids and pages to rehearse too. The bridesmaids and pages include Dutch Princess Catharina-Amalia, Norwegian Princess Ingrid Alexandra, and Danish Prince Christian. After their wedding ceremony on Saturday, the newlywed couple will ride in a horse-drawn carriage through the capital. Weather forecasters were not certain Friday if the couple would be able to use an open carriage. A dress rehearsal for the procession - complete with a carriage - was also staged Friday. It included an honorary guard from the Life Guards' Dragoon Battalion, as well as soldiers and members of voluntary organizations who will line the route. The 18-strong crew that will row the royal barge after the couple's 30-minute carriage ride also tested their skills Friday. Security has been stepped up in the run-up to the wedding, and police have regularly blocked off streets to allow the smooth transport of guests heading to various functions and parties. Bus routes have also been cancelled or changed, as concrete barriers have been erected to prevent incidents such as the one last year in the Netherlands - a man deliberately driving his car at high speed into a parade that included Dutch Queen Beatrix and other royals, killing five bystanders. Parking along the procession route has been temporarily banned. Royal guests at the wedding will include Beatrix; Belgium's King Albert and Queen Paola; Danish Queen Margrethe and her husband, Prince Henrik; King Abdullah and Queen Rania of Jordan; King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway; King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia of Spain; Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg; Japan's Crown Prince Naruhito and Crown Princess Masako; and British Prince Edward and his wife, Sophie.
