Authorities said an Ohio man was killed by his family's dogs, who left hundreds of bite wounds all over his body. The Lorain County Sheriff's office said 30-year-old Michael Winters was found by his father in a pool of blood Tuesday afternoon in the driveway of his home, about 35 miles (56 kilometers) southwest of Cleveland. Coroner Paul Matus said as many as nine dogs left hundreds of bite wounds that caused extensive bleeding. The mostly large dogs were of various mixes. Deputies said two were shot when they approached officers aggressively and seven others were euthanized, AP reported. The coroner said the dogs may have developed a pack mentality, which can lead to an attack. Their remains will be tested for diseases, including rabies.
