The oil price of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) climbed to $73.35 at the start of the week and reached its highest level since mid-May, according to data issued by the Group on Tuesday. OPEC's basket price rose 1.06 dollars per barrel (159 liters) on Monday, the Group was quoted as saying by the German Press Agency "DPA." The Group's 12 members supply over a third of the world's crude oil.
