Finland's ruling Centre Party approved Mari Kiviniemi as its new leader in a vote on Saturday which paves the way for her to become the Nordic country's second female prime minister later this month, Reuters reported. The 41-year-old Kiviniemi, minister for public administration and local government, is set to replace Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen, who announced in December he would not run for re-election as head of the party. -- SPA
