The Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja said the Ministry of Culture and Information has today launched the Live Transmission Website of Saudi TV, Radio Channels and News Agency (www.sm.gov.sa) which will allow visitors from all over the world, particularly the Saudi students on scholarships abroad and Saudi communities outside, to watch or listen to all programs broadcast by the Saudi TV, Radio Channels and the Saudi Press Agency, upon directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud who is keen on continuously providing Saudi viewers and listeners abroad with all news and developments about the Kingdom. Dr. Khoja paid tribute to the Information Technology Department colleagues for this qualitative leap. On the contents of the Holy Quran and Prophet's Sunnah channels, he said "We are going to be satisfied at this stage with broadcasting the Holy Quran with different voices of senior readers from all over the world and we are going to be satisfied with reading the confirmed sayings of the prophet". He voiced readiness to cooperate with other international Quran and Hadeeth channels. "We have new ideas to translate the Prophet's sayings into several live languages", he added. On the information technology achievement, he said "for the first time, the Ministry (of Culture and Information) launches a complete archiving process at the TV, Broadcasting and News Agency levels". He disclosed that Ummal Qura official gazette will very soon be transferred into an electronic newspaper. He concluded that the launch of this website coincides with the fifth anniversary of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosque's allegiance-pledge, appealing to Almighty Allah to keep this country safe and prosperous.
