The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA), has participated in the 13th session of the Arab Ministerial Council for Tourism, which concluded its two-day deliberations in Alexandria, Egypt, last Wednesday The session, attended by representatives of Arab Tourism Ministries and Organizations, reviewed a number of topics including means of developing tourism, an Arab tourism strategy, measures of supporting tourism statistics in the Arab countries and other related topics. The final communiqué issued by the session underscored the importance of confronting Israeli endeavors to utilize Palestinian historical sites in the occupied Palestinian territories for the promotion of tourism in Israel. The Saudi delegation to the session was led by Dr Khalid Al-Dakheel, SCTA's Assistant President.
