The newspaper quoted the King as saying in a speech delivered on his behalf by Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, the Governor of Makkah province, that the Muslim nation which is facing several challenges is in a dire need of adhering to the Holy Quran taking into account the moderate stance of Islam. "The Holy Quran is far away from extremism. Any biased approach that links Islam with terrorism is absolutely baseless and far from any truth or logic," the paper noted. "The fact is terrorists are the misguided people of a deviant ideology and their destructive activities run counter to the teachings of Islam which advocates moderation, love and fraternity with the entire humanity.
