The International Islamic Relief Organization's ( IIRO) Secretary General Dr Adnan Basha has reiterated the keenness of IIRO on extending assistance to the Iraqi people and easing their sufferings. The remarks of Dr Basha came during a meeting here today with Head of the Iraqi Unified Medical Society Ahmad Al-Haiti, noting that the IIRO sent last year assistance to 1,800 Iraqi families. On his part, Al-Haiti lauded the role of IIRO in assisting persons suffering from woes of the civil wars in the various parts of the world. He lauded the Kingdom's support under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz to the Iraqi people.
