Turkey's Foreign Ministry says the president of the Kurdish Regional Government of Iraq, Massoud Barzani, is holding talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, according to AP. Barzani and Davutoglu are expected to discuss moves to combat the autonomy-seeking Kurdish rebel group, the PKK, which operates from bases in the Kurdish region of northern Iraq. The two are also expected to discuss bilateral co-operation between Turkey and the Kurdish region. Barzani and Davutoglu will hold a news conference later Thursday.
