Presided over by its Deputy Speaker Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Hamzah Hajjar, Majlis Al-Shura held its 30th session here today. Majlis Al-Shura strongly condemned the massacre committed yesterday by Israeli occupying forces against aid flotilla which was heading to Gaza Strip which is under Israeli siege. The attack killed 16 people and injured dozens. Majlis Al-Shura described this aggression as dangerous and would fuel the conflict in the region. Majlis Al-Shura also said that this aggression reflected Israel's inhumane practices, indulgence in killing innocent people, flagrant defiance of the whole world and international law, and insistence to starve the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip. Majlis Al-Shura stressed that Israel's aggression is incompatible with international norms, calling on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities and take necessary action to protect the Palestinian people and lift the siege imposed on Gaza Strip. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, the Secretary General of Majlis Al-Shura Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi said that Majlis Al-Shura discussed a report by the Economic and Energy Affairs Committee as regards a draft proposal for tourism system.
