The Third Vice President of the Spanish Government Manuel Chaves Gonzalez visited here today Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry where he met the Chamber's Vice Chairman Dr. Lama bint Abdulaziz Al-Sulaiman and a number of Saudi businessmen. During the meeting, they discussed ways of enhancing and developing economic relations between the two countries. They also addressed the possibility of establishing joint investment projects between the two sides within the framework of strong relations between the two friendly countries. The Third Vice President of the Spanish Government urged Saudi businessmen to seize existing investment opportunities in Spain. For her part, the Chamber's Vice Chairman said that the trade exchange between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Spain has recently experienced significant growth, rising from $1.7 billion in 2000 to $3,5 billion in the last year. She also pointed out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is Spain's third-largest Arab trading partner.
