Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Norway Jens Stoltenberg held at his office here today a meeting with Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh region who is currently on a visit to Norway. During the meeting, the Norway's premier welcomed Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz in his current visit to the Kingdom of Norway, stressing the depth of relations between the two Kingdoms. Stoltenberg also valued the Saudi efforts to achieve just and comprehensive peace in the world and consolidate the principles of dialogue among peoples. For his part, Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz expressed happiness for his visit to the Kingdom of Norway, stressing the relationship of friendship and mutual interests binding the Kingdom and Norway. He also asserted the importance of exchanging visits between officials and businessmen in both countries, highlighting the bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom and Norway. Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz spoke also on the qualitative jump which the Kingdom is witnessing in the field of higher education, citing in this regard, the distinctive scientific programs offered by King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) and King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, welcoming the enrollment of Norwegian students in KAUST. Prospects for cooperation between the two countries and ways of strengthening them were also reviewed during the meeting.
