The Secretary General of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dr. Hani bin Mohammed Abu-Rass opened here this evening the Algerian Products Exhibition, organized by the Algerian Exhibitions Company in collaboration with Jeddah-based Al-Harithy Company for Exhibitions and Conferences. Almost 22 companies and factories displayed the latest of their products at the exhibition. In a statement following the cutting of the ribbon, Abu Rass lauded the distinguished relations between Algeria and Saudi Arabia in all fields, noting that trade volume between the two countries doubled to eight times over the last five years, increasing from SR43 million in 2002 to SR356 million in 2006 and to nearly SR 1 billion last year. In Algeria, ten Arab countries, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, contributed to the development of the financial and banking sectors with assets amounting to $650 million
