President of Republic of Ireland hails Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques

President of the Republic of Ireland Mary McAleese has hailed the
distinguished character of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his prudent leadership.
She also commended the peace initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the Middle East which was adopted by the Arab summit in Beirut in 2002 and became known as the Arab peace initiative.
President McAleese valued the efforts being exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to bring about peace in the region.
This came during an audience held here today at the presidential palace in which she received the members of the Shoura Council's delegation which is currently on a visit to the Republic of Ireland.
