At least 100 people went missing today in Peru after the ship they were travelling in was shipwrecked in the Amazon River, dpa quoted Peruvian radio station RPP as reporting. According to RPP, some 80 survivors had been rescued, and two bodies had also been recovered. The motorboat Camila, which had a capacity for 160 passengers and according to survivors was carrying at least 200 at the time of the accident, sank as it travelled through the village of Santa Rosa, near the Colombian border. It reportedly had a hole in its hull. The accident happened at around 2 am (0700 GMT), when most of the passengers were asleep. -- SPA
