The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) said Tuesday that its oil price improved by $0.12 at the start of the week, halting its steep fall of the last six trading days. The group's basket price settled at $68.59 per barrel (159 liters) on Monday. OPEC's crude oil price had shed $9.96 since May 14, as the European debt crisis led to concerns about repercussions on the global economy, according to a report of the German Press Agency "DPA". The 12 members of the Vienna-based Organization pump over a third of the world's crude oil supplies.
