A high-level Indian delegation led by Coal Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal is in the US to hold bilateral talks with senior American officials in the field of developing clean coal technologies and meet leaders of the US coal industry. Jaiswal and members of the delegation met Daniel Poneman Deputy Energy Secretary while Tuesday they visited Alpha Natural Resources Mine near Pittsburgh, the Indian Embassy said in a statement. The delegation also had discussions with coal industry executives organised by the US India Business Council, the Press Trust of India reported. In New York, the Minister will have meetings with US business representatives. Alok Perti Additional Secretary Ministry of Coal will attend the Coal Working Group meeting in Washington on 20th May, the official statement said.
