based Al-Jazirah said it will not be a strange matter when Israeli foreign minister Lieberman bickers, and it is not also a strange matter when the Israeli political parties produce extremist and fanatic leaders who practice extremism in their words and deeds. The appointment of Lieberman as the Israeli foreign minister and leader of a political party which includes immigrants from former countries of the Soviet Union is not an abnormal matter for a person who is aware of the construction of the Israeli society which is comprised of several groups and nationalities. "In view of the inferiority complex felt by Jews since the era of Diaspora, we are not surprised with hearing of threats and insults spelt out by Lieberman against a number of countries including those which maintain diplomatic relations with the Jewish entity," said the daily, noting that it is the duty of Lieberman to cement Israel's relations with other countries and not broaden the gap by insulting them. "We, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, will never feel surprised over the statement of Lieberman and the media campaign against the Kingdom because the latter is a thorn in the throat of the Jewish state. Lieberman looks askance at the Kingdom because the Kingdom supports any action that may contribute to lifting injustices befallen on the Palestinians and other Arabs who have been under the yoke of the Israeli occupation," the daily said. The Kingdom is capable of confronting all malicious plans whether they are hatched by Israel or other countries , and will turn a deaf ear to the statements of Lieberman or to those who try to propagate his ideas.
