Ahsa, May 19, 2010, SPA -- On behalf of Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of the Eastern Province, Prince Jelawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, the Vice Governor of the Eastern Province patronized here on Tuesday evening a ceremony for Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Prize for Architectural Heritage, in the presence of Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities. The speech of Prince Mohammed was delivered by Prince Jelawi who said that convening of the International Conference of Architectural Heritage in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia comes within the interest and attention being paid by the Saudi leadership to the importance of heritage and its preservation, describing the Conference as a qualitative leap in the field of heritage conservation. On his part, Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz highlighted in his speech the Conference with the participation of more than 50 ministers from various countries. The Prince praised the recent formation of Saudi Association for Heritage Preservation and the election of its Board of Directors under the chairmanship of Princess Adela bint Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
