German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle has expressed appreciation for the capability of the Saudi security authorities to securing return of two German children kidnapped along with others by criminal elements last year. The two hostages are now in a secured place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, he said. In a statement to pressmen here today, Westerwelle said that the two girls are in good conditions despite the state of tension they had suffered due to their detention , and they are scheduled to arrive in Berlin later. The German Foreign Minister hailed the efforts exerted by the emergency office at the Foreign Ministry which was following up the incident. He also praised the efforts of the foreign ministry and friends of Germany in Saudi Arabia and in Yemen to liberate the rest of the detainees.
