The Saudi Shoura Council's delegation, on an official visit to Russia, today toured the International Relations University, an affiliate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Islamic Cultural Center and the Mufteen Council. During the visits, the delegation, led by Dr. Mohammed bin Saad Al-Salem, member of the Council and Chairman of the Saudi Russian Parliamentary Association, received warm welcome and was briefed on the activities of the three landmarks of the Russian capital of Moscow. At the university, the first of its kind as it manages to teach 53 foreign languages, the delegation paid a visit to Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Center for Arabic language which was established in December 2009. For his part, Al-Salem conveyed to the leaders of the university the greetings of the Saudi leadership and briefed them on the Saudi educational renaissance, citing the increase of government universities in Saudi Arabia over the last four years from seven to 25 including a high-level females university. In response to questions from journalists, members of the delegation explained the high-profile of the Saudi women in the Islamic society, the situation of the Saudi Russian relations and the Saudi economy, defying western media false allegations on the three topics. --More
