Pakistani military jets on Sunday pounded militant hideouts in the tribal district of Orakzai, killing at least 15 rebels, security officials said. A senior military official in Orakzai said "All positions were engaged and destroyed effectively and our informers on the ground disclosed that at least 15 terrorists died in these actions." Major Fazal ur Rehman, a spokesman of paramilitary Frontier Corps confirmed the attacks. "Initial reports say that 10 to 15 militants died but we are trying to ascertain the death toll," he was quoted as saying by the German Press Agency "DPA".
