Hundreds of Jewish extremists religious settlers stormed in Prophet Joseph's Tomb in Salim, six Kilometers east of Nablus, West Bank, under the heavy protection cover of the Israeli army on the pretext of religious observance in the site, Palestinian sources said. The Israeli army had sealed off the area completely, to provide protection to the storming settlers, who arranged noisy parties at the site, the sources added. "However, the sole action of defense on the part of Palestinian residents was blocking the roads with burning tires and throwing stones at the heavily guarded Israeli forces to protect the area surrounding the city," the sources noted. In response, the Israeli occupation forces fired rubber bullets and tear gas canisters to disperse Palestinian protestors. Additionally, an Israeli helicopter was continuously hovering the area. --MORE
