The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Naimi said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia aims to become a key international center in the field of energy research, cooperating with scientific research centers and specialized international universities and institutions, in addition to developing technologies for indigenous use for transfer through the establishment and development of scientific and applied research centers at universities, the opening of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) and the establishment of King Abdullah Center for Petroleum Studies and Research.
