Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior received here on Saturday evening Iran's Ambassador-Designate to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Seyed Mohammadjavad Rasooli. At the outset of the meeting, Prince Naif welcomed Iran's Ambassador-Designate to the Kingdom, wishing him all success in his new mission to serve the interest of the two countries. They also discussed a number of issues of common interest between the two countries. Prince Naif noted that good relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran serve the interests of the two countries and their peoples as well as the entire region and the Muslim world. He also welcomed Iranian pilgrims and Umrah performers. On his part, the Iranian ambassador said, "I convey a message from Iran's Leader and President that there is no contradiction between us and the Kingdom. We want to emphasize the importance of good relations between the two neighboring countries and their importance to the Islamic world". The meeting was attended by General Supervisor of the Office of Prince Naif Gen. Abdulrahman bin Ali Al-Rubaia'n and Director-General of Prince Naif's Office for Studies and Research Major General Saud bin Saleh Al-Dawood.
