White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs on Friday said that U.S. President Barack Obama and Afghan President Hamid Karzai will meet and hold a press conference at the White House next week. The two leaders' will hold a meeting on Wednesday. "I'm sure they will talk about governance...security," Gibbs said. Obama met on Thursday with his national security team to get an update on the situation in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Gibbs, for the second time in the last couple days, repeated that since taking office, Obama has made engaging with Pakistan "a priority." "We will continue to work with the Pakistanis," Gibbs said, adding that "we have made great progress."
