Fishing boat carrying 2.4 tonnes of cocaine seized in Mexico

A fishing boat carrying 2.4 tonnes of cocaine
was seized by the Mexican Navy in the Pacific in cooperation with US
officials, dpa quoted authorities as saying today.
The operation against the boat Charamusca took place Tuesday,
but it was only made public Monday when its crew of five were brought
before reporters in the port of Salina Cruz, in the southern Mexican
state of Oaxaca.
The Mexican Navy said the cocaine had been loaded onto the boat in
Colombia and was hidden inside its fuel tanks.
