Euro area finance ministers are expected to hold an extraordinary meeting on Sunday in Brussels to discuss emergency aid for Greece, dpa cited an official as saying today. Eurozone countries are preparing a multi-billion loan package to help Athens face its spiralling debt burden, in exchange for a multi- year austerity programme that is expected to be announced by European Union and International Monetary Fund (IMF) experts this weekend. A spokesman for the eurogroup's president and Luxembourg premier Jean-Claude Juncker told the German Press Agency dpa that the meeting of ministers from the 16 countries which use the EU's single currency would start at 1400 GMT.
