A family of five perished in a house fire Saturday in a village of south China's Guangdong Province, local authorities said. The fire broke out at about 5 a.m. Saturday in Gangmei village, Jiedong County, and was put out half an hour later, Xinhua quoted the county government as saying. The dead include a middle-aged couple and their three sons aged from 11 to 14. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
