Mohamed Al-Mady, vice-chairman and CEO of Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), was honored on Friday by the University of Colorado Faculty at an awards dinner for friends and graduates of the College of Engineering and Applied Science. Fellow recipients of the award included: Mike Wirth, executive vice president of Global Downstream at Chevron Corporation; Bill Reinert, national manager of Advanced Technology Group, Toyota USA; and James L. Gallogly, CEO of Lyndonell Basell Industries and former CEO and President of Chevron Philips Chemical Company. During a two-day visit to the University of Colorado at Boulder in the US, Al-Mady toured the facilities, met with senior members of the faculty and was invited to address both the student body and the Engineering Advisory Council, according to a report carried yesterday by SABIC's web-site.
