A magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck western Guatemala on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. The USGS said the quake occurred at about 7:30 a.m local time (1330 GMT) and was centered 23 km (14 miles) east of Suchiate in Mexico's Chiapas state and 35 km (21 miles) west of Retalhuleu in Guatemala. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries, according to Reuters.
