Austria has started closing down its airspace because of the volcanic ash cloud moving in from Iceland. The Austrian air control authority already has stopped air operations at airports in Vienna and in Linz, Austria's third-largest city. The Salzburg and Innsbruck airports are slated to stop flights at 1800 GMT and those at Graz and Klagenfurt at 2100 GMT, AP reported. Austro Control, the Austrian flight authority, said Friday the flight bans are expected to stay in effect at least through Saturday.
