US First Lady Michelle Obama left Mexico Thursday, at the end of her first official trip abroad without her husband, reported the dpa. Michelle Obama met with US Embassy personnel early Thursday, and later had breakfast with 12 young Mexican leaders at the Hacienda de los Morales, in the Polanco neighbourhood of Mexico City. She told the youngsters to be patient and to persevere as they seek to change the world, and referred to her brief experience in Haiti Tuesday, en route to Mexico. "The only thing that happens in an instant is destruction," she said. "It takes centuries to build anything meaningful." Much of Haiti was devastated by an earthquake on January 12, which also killed an estimated 300,000 people.
