Egypt's Orascom Telecom and France Telecom say they have reached a deal to end their long-running fight over ownership of Egypt's largest mobile phone service provider, according to AP. The companies said late Wednesday the agreement reached with the help of Egypt's communications ministry «will effectively bring to an end all disputes» related to the Egyptian Company for Mobile Services. The mobile service provider operates under the brand Mobinil. Orascom and FT agreed to continue working together on Mobinil under a new agreement that leaves their existing ownership structure unchanged. They plan to complete the deal in the coming weeks.
