The head of the World Health Organization says she wants a «frank and critical» review of its handling of the swine flu pandemic. WHO Director-General Margaret Chan says she hopes the 29 experts at a three-day meeting starting Monday in Geneva can help the global body learn lessons for future global outbreaks. The experts' initial findings will be presented to WHO member states in May. A final report will be published next year. WHO says some 17,700 deaths have been confirmed from swine flu worldwide over the past year, according to a report of The Associated Press.
