Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Defense, Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs, graced here today American Military Training Mission's held party on the 57th anniversary of signing the accord of American Training Mission. On arrival at the venue, Prince Khalid was received by the Head of American Military Training Mission, Maj. General Van Cycle and U.S. Ambassador James Smith. Prince Khalid bin Sultan and Maj. Cycle honored six Saudi officers and three Americans who won Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz's silver medallion. Maj. General Cycle honored Prince Khalid bin Sultan and conferred on him the golden medallion of Prince Sultan for contributing to the strategic partnership between Saudi Arabia and the United States for the sake of regional security and stability. The medallion is awarded for those who contributed to consolidation of Saudi-U.S relations and for committing, cherishing and promoting their strategic partnership. Following the awarding ceremony, Prince Khalid attended a luncheon held on the occasion. It was concluded by presenting him with a memorial souvenir by the Head of the American Training Mission. The ceremony was attended by the Chief of General Staff, General Salih bin Ali Al-Muhaiya, Deputy Chief of General Staff, Lt. General Hussien bin Abdullah Al-Qubail, Heads of Armed Forces branches and a number of senior officers of both Armed Forces and American Training Mission. -- SPA
