Minister of Health Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabia, who is also the Head of Medical and Surgical Team conducting conjoined twins separation, declared today the death of Palestinian conjoined twins (Rittal and Retag) at 4:00 p.m. (local time) at King Abdulaziz Medical City of the National Guard in Riyadh. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Dr. Al-Rabia said that the condition of the Palestinian conjoined twins worsened as expected by the medical and surgical team and based on clinical examinations and X-rays which showed that their health condition is poor and they suffer acute bacterial infections which, in turn, led to their death. Dr. Al-Rabia expressed deep condolences to the parents of the conjoined twins and the Palestinian people. Dr. Al-Rabia praised the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to transfer the Palestinian conjoined twins from Gaza Strip to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to follow-up and take care of the twin.
