Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh province, chaired here last night the meeting of the Board of Directors of King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives. The Board approved a number of arrangements for the development of the Foundation and reviewed its activities during the past period. On his part, the Foundation's Secretary General Dr Fahd Al-Samari said a prize will be allocated for distinguished non-Saudi persons in the studies of the Arabian peninsula. He noted that the Foundation's Board of Directors reviewed arrangements pertaining to the seminar on the history of King Khalid next month within the framework of the Royal seminars due to be organized by the Foundation. Meanwhile, the Board was briefed on a report on the workshop organized by the Foundation earlier this month on the social, cultural and economic life in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the participation of experts from the US, Italy and Egypt. Dr Al-Samari praised the great attention and support being extended by Prince Salman to the Foundation.
