Merkel Starts Turkey Visit Today

Turkish leaders are expected to use a visit by German Chancellor Angela Merkel to win a full membership in the European Union for the overwhelmingly Muslim country.
Merkel is to meet Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and President Abdullah Gul on Monday, the Associated Press reported.
